Progress

The tears don't come as often now
but there's a well of salty water
and its bucket never comes up empty.
I'm still broken inside somehow
but I'm learning to live again

Don't feed my lies anymore;
the truth cuts deep but it's better
to accept the beauty of your life
than to linger in the shadow of a dream.
Death comes for all men, even you.
